Dear Valued Customers:
The founder of JACO Manufacturing Company, Art Jacobs,
started JACO's line of injection molding machines over
fifty years ago. He envisioned a market for a small parting
line type of machine to produce small parts that could
unscrew quickly and efficiently. In the late eighties,
our line of equipment was expanded to include 50 and 75-ton
C-Frame insert molding machines.
Since the year 2000, we have been faced with a continuous
decline in demand for our equipment and fierce price competition
that has forced us to make some difficult economic decisions.
Effective March 1, 2004, JACO will discontinue the production
and marketing of its complete line of plastic injection
molding machines. However, JACO will continue to supply
replacement parts for as long as it is economically feasible.
In addition, due to our inability to economically support
a dedicated outside service department, we will also be
discontinuing on-site service calls effective March 1,
2004. Technical support by phone will be available free
of charge for calls that are less than or equal to twenty
minutes in duration. For calls that go beyond twenty minutes,
there will be a three-dollar a minute charge for every
minute thereafter. Support Calls that result in the purchase
of replacement parts of at least $ 120.00 will result in
the technical support fee being waived.
All customers still within their warranty period will
receive the same level of support agreed upon at the time
of your purchase without any additional costs or changes.
Please understand that the above changes were necessary
due to the tough economic times we are all facing and to
continue the financial health and long-term viability of
JACO Manufacturing Company. We look forward to supporting
